Lección Uno  (Lesson 1)    Week 1
Welcome to the easiest way to learn and remember Spanish. 

1)  You will see a list of vocabulary words and pictures. Each word also has a link to a sound file to hear the Spanish pronunciation.

2) You will hear the pronunciation of each word two times. You should immediately repeat the word twice out loud after listening to it.

3) You will learn a story that incorporates all of the words you have learned. 
       

Introduction
Practice the following expressions until you know them well.

Hola  Hello
Buenos Dias.  Good Morning.
Como está usted?  How are you?
Estoy Fantastico!  I am Fantastic!
Me llamo Carlos.  My name is Carlos.
Como se llama usted?  What is your name?
Me gusta hablar Español!  I like to speak Spanish.
In The following section, you will be learning new Spanish vocabulary that will be used in a story. 
Listen carefully, then Say the words twice aloud. Relate the new word to the corresponding picture. (by relating the words to the pictures, you will remember them much quicker.)

Practice Speaking the story out loud 2 or 3 times.

Practice - Exercise

A) Write on a piece of paper the story of La Muchacha y El Gato as you understand it in English.

B) Write the story in Spanish. You can do this without help!

C) Meet the People in the Story. Click the Controller to the Right to listen.
Then Repeat each sentence twice out loud.
                                  
What is the name of the girl?   Cual es el nombre de la muchacha?     
The name of the girl is Catalina. El nombre de la muchacha es Catalina.
What is the name of the boy? Cual es el nombre del muchacho?       
The name of the boy is Luis. El nombre del muchacho es Luis         
What is the name of the cat?   Cual es el nombre de el gato?             
The name of the cat is Pereza El nombre de el gato es Pereza           
Does Pereza means lovely? Pereza significa amoroso?                   
No. Pereza means Lazy  No. Pereza significa perezoso.

Acción Fantastica 
Stand up and go find an object such as a sponge ball or pillow. 
Agarra (grab) it. Tira (throw) al suelo. Make sure to say the Spanish words aloud as you do this.
When you do these actions and say the words aloud, it physically reinforces the new Spanish vocabulary that you have learned. Learning by doing an action increases the speed of retention.
